ASTM A514 Gr.B low alloy carbon steel for welding has similar properties with Q690. A514 Gr.B steel is a quenched and tempered high-strength weldable steel plate according to ASTM standards, which is mainly used in places where high tension and high yield are required. Generally, A514Gr.Q or A514Gr.Q modified are used for lifting gears of engineering vehicles and racks used for offshore platforms. Depending on the thickness, its hardness is between 235-290, yield is more than 630MPa, and tensile strength is more than 700MPa.
