API 5L PSL1 X65 pipeline steel is a commonly used low alloy steel with excellent strength properties and plasticity. It is one of the most commonly used materials for pipeline applications in API 5L PSL1 grade. The chemical composition of API 5L PSL1 grade X65 pipeline steel is mainly composed of carbon, silicon, molybdenum, chromium, sulfur, manganese, molybdenum, cobalt, tin, antimony, and other elements. The greatest characteristic of X65 pipeline steel is its high strength, with tensile strength up to 485 MPa, yield strength up to 370 MPa, and elongation up to 25%, which meets the high strength requirements of pipeline systems.
API 5L PSL1 X65 L450 pipeline steel has good plasticity and welding performance, and can be used in fusion welding, electric arc welding, gas shielded welding, and other processes. In addition, the heat treatment performance of X65 pipeline steel is also relatively good, which can make the pipeline system have better tensile strength, yield strength, and elastic modulus, thereby improving the service performance of the pipeline system.
API 5L X65 pipeline steel also has good corrosion resistance and can resist corrosion by alkali, acid, and salt corrosive media. In addition, X65 pipeline steel also features good impact resistance, strong wear resistance, excellent heat treatment performance, and good welding performance. The equivalent materials of X65 pipeline steel mainly include ASTM A53/A106, ASTM A312/A333, ASTM A335/A335M, EN 10216-2, EN 10217-2, DIN 17175, and so on. These materials are low alloy steels with good strength properties and plasticity, which can meet the requirements of various pipeline systems.
