ASTM A537CL3 pressure vessel steel is mainly used in coal mine chemical industry, spherical tank boiler manufacturing, etc. A537CL3 boiler and pressure vessel steel is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, power station, boiler and other industries. It is often used to make reaction heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear reactor pressure shells, boiler drums, liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, and high pressure hydropower stations. Water pipes, water turbine volute and other equipment and components.
A537CL3 boiler and pressure vessel steel plates have good low-temperature impact toughness. BBN Steel can provide various deep processing services such as cutting. According to the cutting process, cutting processing and drawing blanking can be performed. When the thickness of A537CL3 container steel plates is not greater than 20mm, it is preferred. CNC plasma cutting or CNC laser cutting, if the thickness of the A537CL3 pressure vessel steel plate is greater than 30mm, usually CNC flame cutting is selected, which can control the cutting accuracy and time. According to customer needs, A537CL3 pressure vessel steel plates can be delivered in hot rolling, controlled rolling, normalizing, tempering, normalizing plus tempering, quenching and tempering, and Z-direction performance.
Both ASTM A537 and 09MnNiDR are the main steel materials used in the construction of liquefied petroleum gas cryogenic storage tanks.
30mm 09MnNiDR and 16mm thick A537 steel plates were tested for weldability, fracture performance of welded joints, and destructive tests, and a comparative analysis was made. Draw the following conclusions:1. A537 pressure vessel steel is superior to 09MnNiDR steel in terms of fracture resistance, metallographic structure and non-plastic transition temperature;
2. Due to the thicker 09MnNiDR steel plate, the weldability is worse than that of A537 steel;
3. In terms of destructive resistance, 09MnNiDR steel has obvious advantages; considering the influence of plate thickness, the performance indicators of 09MnNiDR steel and A537 steel are not much different;
4. 09MnNiDR steel and supporting welding materials and processes can replace imported A537 steel for the construction of liquefied petroleum gas cryogenic storage tanks.
