AH40 Shipbuilding steel plate is a high-strength steel plate. The chemical composition of AH40 marine steel plate meets the requirements of ASTM A131/A131M standards, mainly including carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) Elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu) and niobium (Nb) are often used in important parts of the hull structure, such as the bottom, bow and hull side plates. AH40 marine steel plate has good weldability, impact toughness and corrosion resistance. During use, due to the erosion of seawater, the hull structure is prone to corrosion, so the corrosion resistance of marine steel plate is highly required. AH40 marine steel plate adopts advanced anti-corrosion coating technology, which can effectively resist seawater erosion, thus ensuring the long-term service life of the ship. Therefore, AH40 hull steel is widely used in marine engineering.
The mechanical properties of AH40 marine steel plate are excellent. According to the ASTM A131/A131M standard, the minimum yield strength of AH40 marine steel plate is 390 MPa, the minimum tensile strength is 510-650 MPa, the minimum elongation is 20%, and the minimum impact toughness is 34 joules at 0°C. These mechanical performance indicators enable AH40 marine steel plates to withstand severe sea conditions such as large climates, strong winds and waves, and severe collisions, ensuring the safety and reliability of ship navigation.
The surface quality and dimensional accuracy of AH40 Shipbuilding and Offshore Platform Steel Plate/Coils are also highly valued. In the production process, advanced steel plate production technology is adopted, and various parameters in the production process are controlled by adjusting the rolling process parameters to ensure that the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the steel plate meet international standards. our AH40 marine steel has differed by being certified by different classification societies, such as ABS AH40, BV AH40, CCS AH40, NV A40, GL-A40, RA40, LR AH40, KA40, RINA AH40, and so on.

Notes: 1) The contents of any other element intentionally added is to be determined and reported.
1, AH40 marine grade steel plates with 0.5 in. [12.5 mm] and under thickness may have a minimum Mn content of 0.70 %.
2, If the content of soluble aluminum is not less than 0.015 %, the minimum required silicon content does not apply.
3, The indicated amount of aluminum, columbium (niobium), and vanadium applies if any such element is used singly.
4, Ca element need not be reported on the mill sheet unless intentionally added.
