ASTM A572 Gr50 steel plate is a low alloy high strength structural steel plate. It has comprehensive and high-quality properties of steel plates such as high strength, high toughness, fatigue resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, welding and easy processing. Grade 50 is difficult to form, because A572Gr50 steel plate is to add a small amount of alloying elements inside the steel plate, so that the strength and toughness of the steel plate can be partially improved after passing through a special heat treatment process. Mainly used in construction steel structures, construction machinery, mining and mountainous machinery, trucks, bridges, pressure vessels, etc., especially for construction and construction machinery parts that require good weldability and toughness. ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel has a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi, a tensile strength of 65,000, and a 2-inch elongation of 19%. Due to the alloying elements of these sheets, their atmospheric corrosion resistance is enhanced.
A572 Gr50 low alloy high strength structural steel according to ASTMA572/A572M standard, ASTM A572 standard is applicable to structural steel plates of high strength low alloy (HSLA) combined with niobium vanadium. A572GR is divided into five grades: grade 42 (290), grade 50 (345), grade 55 (380) for riveted, bolted or welded structural parts, grade 60 (415) and grade 65 (450) for bridge riveting And bolted structural parts or welded structural parts for other purposes. This specification is produced in grades 42, 50, 55, 60 and 65, which represent yield strength. 4" and thicker boards have a yield of 42 KSI, although the material can be modified to achieve a minimum yield of 50 KSI.
