A633 Gr.C high strength low alloy structural steel plate is ideal for welding, riveting or bolting. A633 Grade C low-alloy structural steel sheet is suitable for lower ambient temperatures where the required notch toughness is better than expected for a rolled material of comparable strength. The ASTM A633 GrC steel sheet should have good austenite grain size and should be normalized by heat treatment. Its chemical composition should be determined by thermal analysis. Tensile tests should also be performed.
