ASTM A633GrD normalized high-strength low-alloy structural steel under ASTM A633/A633M standards, and A633 GrD steel plate is delivered in hot-rolled condition. A633 GrD steel plate is a carbon low-alloy steel plate with high strength, high toughness and good welding. Properties and cold formability, as well as lower cold brittle transition temperatures, also require higher fracture toughness if applied to large welded components. A633GrD carbon and low alloy steel is suitable for welding, riveting or bolting structural parts, and the applicable environment is used in a low temperature environment greater than -45 degrees, because this environment requires that the notch resistance of the steel plate is better than that of the rolled steel plate with similar strength grades.
A633 Grade D carbon and low-alloy steel plate belongs to killed steel. Compared with boiling steel, killed steel is not allowed to have air bubbles and sand holes. ASTM A633GrD high strength has higher yield strength and toughness, and also has certain corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance. It is often used in hydraulic pressure. Machinery, construction machinery, mining machinery, or for structural welding. A633GrD steel plate rolling needs to provide the thickness, width and length of the steel plate, and the requirements for ultrasonic flaw detection and heat treatment of the steel plate need to be clarified. Pretreatment, ultrasonic flaw detection shall be carried out in accordance with ASME-A578 flaw detection standard for flaw detection of grades A, B, and C.
