A387 Grade 12 Class 2 Pressure Vessel Steel is a premium chrome molybdenum steel that is ideal for high temperature applications and has excellent corrosion resistance properties. It can prevent hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen stripping and sulfide corrosion in medium temperature (350 ~ 480 ℃) hydrogen environment, and has good low temper brittleness. A387 Grade 12 Class 2 Chromium molybdenum steel has a wide variety of uses including industrial boilers and pressure vessels, especially in environments where high temperature levels are common.
A387 Grade 12 Class 2 pressure vessel steel plates comply with the ASTM A387/A387M standard, and the delivery status is mostly in the normalized state, and can also be delivered in the state of hot rolling, controlled rolling or quenching and tempering. BEBON Steel's ASTM / ASME A387 Grade 12 chrome molybdenum steel series has two different grades, ASTM A387 Grade 12 Class 2 and ASME SA387 Grade 12 Class 2. A387 Grade 12 Class 2 chromium molybdenum steel is suitable for the following requirements and test procedures: vacuum treatment, product analysis, additional tensile testing, Charpy V-notch impact testing, drop weight testing, high temperature tensile testing, ultrasonic inspection, magnetic particle inspection.
A387Gr12CL2 boiler and Pressure Vessel Steel is widely used in chemical industry, fertilizer, petrochemical and thermal power plant equipment manufacturing, such as ammonia synthesis reactor, coal gasifier, shift furnace and hydrogenation reactor.
