A515 Gr65 pressure vessel steel Description

A515 Gr65 boiler and pressure vessel steel is the same carbon steel plate for American standard medium temperature pressure vessels. A515Gr65 under the ASTM A515/A515M standard. A515Gr65 is used for pressure vessel equipment in medium and high temperature environments. It has good impact resistance, small temperature deformation and welding function. Good, good anti-fatigue performance, good anti-lamination cracking function, micro-alloying, high purity, low carbon equivalent, strong resistance to hydrogen sulfide, and the product has excellent dimensional tolerance and surface quality. Widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, power station, boiler and other industries, used to manufacture reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear reactor pressure shells, high-pressure water pipes of hydropower stations, water turbine volutes and other equipment and components.

ASTM A515 Gr65 pressure vessel steel plates with a thickness of less than or equal to 50mm are usually supplied in a rolled state. Available normalized or stress relieved, or normalized and stress relieved. Steel plate thickness greater than 50mm should be normalized.
