A515 Gr70 pressure vessel steel Description

A515 Gr70 pressure vessel steel is made of austenitic coarse-grained steel according to American ASTM A285/A285M standard, which has good impact resistance and welding performance. Therefore, it is mostly used in the manufacture of medium and high temperature welded boilers and pressure vessels in petroleum, chemical, power station, boiler and other industries. A515 Gr70 pressure vessel steel plates with a thickness of ≤50mm are usually supplied in the rolled state and can be ordered to be normalized, or stress-relieved, or normalized and stress-relieved. A515 Gr70 pressure vessel steel plates with a thickness greater than 50mm must be normalized.
