S20C Round Bar Description

S20C Round Steel Bar is a high-quality carbon structural steel according to the Japanese JIS standard. The strength of S20C is slightly higher than that of 15# steel, with little quenching and no tempering brittleness. Cold deformation has high plasticity and S20C Round Steel is generally used for processing such as bending, rolling, bending edges, and hammer arches. The welding performance of electric arc welding and contact welding is good, and the thickness is small during gas welding. Cracks are prone to occur on parts with strict external requirements or complex shapes. The cold drawn or normalized state has better machinability than the annealed state, and S20C is used to manufacture parts with low stress and high toughness requirements.

S20C Low-Carbon Round Bar is suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts and structural components, such as bolts, nuts, screws, bearings, wheel hubs, gears, etc. After carburizing, quenching, and tempering treatment, the carburizing and quenching hardness is 56-60HRC, which can obtain molds with high external hardness and good core toughness.
