A588GrB weathering steel belongs to atmospheric corrosion resistant high-strength low-alloy structural steel. A588GrB weathering steel has the strength, toughness, plastic extension, forming, welding and cutting, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, fatigue resistance and other characteristics of high-quality steel; A588GrB structural steel can significantly improve the corrosion resistance and prolong the service life of structural members.

The ASTM A588GrB weathering steel forms a protective layer on the surface of the metal substrate through the alloying of Cu, P, Cr, Ni, etc., so it has high atmospheric corrosion resistance. The weather resistance of A588GrB weathering steel is 2~8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and the coating property is 1.5~10 times that of ordinary carbon steel. At the same time, it has the characteristics of rust prevention, corrosion resistance, long service life of components, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving.

A588GrB weathering resistant steel can be used to make various structural members working under atmospheric environment, corrosive gas and liquid.
