ASTM A633 Grade C Carbon structural steel is a normalized high strength low alloy structural steel plate. It is suitable for use in low ambient temperatures of -50°F or higher and can be used to fabricate welded, riveted or bolted structures, as well as construction machinery and other general structural uses. A633 Gr.C steel plate is heat treated using an annealing process to reduce stress levels and improve ductility and toughness. The process also improves the material's machinability, allowing it to be processed faster and more efficiently. Heat treatment also increases the formability of the material, making it easier to manufacture.
