S355K2 steel plate is a European standard hot-rolled structural steel product with a yield strength of 355MPa, containing elements such as C, Si, Mn, and excellent mechanical properties. In accordance with the EN10025 standard, delivery can be made in hot-rolled or other conditions. S355K2 steel plate plays an important role in the engineering field due to its high strength, high toughness, good corrosion resistance and weldability.
Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of S355K2 carbon structural steel plate mainly includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and a small amount of alloying elements such as chromium (Cr) and copper (Cu). The specific content is as follows:

Carbon (C): ≤0.24%

Silicon (Si): ≤0.60% (some data also indicate that it should not exceed 0.55%)

Manganese (Mn): ≤1.70% (some data also indicate that it should not exceed 1.6%)

Phosphorus (P): ≤0.035%

Sulfur (S): ≤0.035%

Chromium (Cr): not more than 0.30%

Copper (Cu): not more than 0.60% (some data also indicate not more than 0.55%)

In addition, it may also contain trace amounts of elements such as aluminum (Al), titanium (Ti), niobium (Nb), and nitrogen (N). The precise ratio of these elements gives S355K2 steel plate excellent performance.

Dimensional Tolerance

The EN 10025 standard strictly controls the dimensional tolerances of steel. This includes the tolerance range of the length, width, thickness, and cross-sectional dimensions (such as height, width, web thickness, flange thickness, etc.) of the steel. These tolerance regulations ensure the interchangeability and performance of products, allowing steel to meet the dimensional requirements of various application scenarios.
