A573 Grade58 carbon and low alloy steel plate implements the ASTM A573/573M standard. There are three quality grades of A573 Gr58, A573 Gr65 and A573 Gr70 under the ASTM A573/A573M series. A537 Gr58 is mainly used at atmospheric temperatures where improving notch toughness is important, and can be used in bridge construction, highway construction and other engineering construction.

ASTM A573 Gr.58 High-strength Steel is a carbon steel plate with improved toughness. A573 Gr58 Carbon and Low-alloy High-strength Steel has the lowest yield strength at 220MPa, and the tensile strength of A573Gr58 steel plate should be between 400-490Mpa. The manganese content of A573 Gr.58 may exceed the upper limit provided that the carbon content plus 1/6 the manganese content does not exceed 0.40% based on thermal analysis. A573 Gr.58 Structural Carbon Steel Plate is one of the most widely used precipitation hardening grades in the industry. While soft and ductile in solution annealed conditions, it is capable of high performance with a single precipitation or aging treatment. Has good corrosion resistance, high harnessing properties, toughness and strength.
