USt37-2 Carbon Steel Plate is a common structural steel plate produced according to German standard DIN 17100-1980. USt37-2 Carbon Steel Plate is favored for its good mechanical properties and wide range of applications. It is mainly used for supporting parts, load-bearing beams, columns, etc. in building structures, as well as in the fields of machinery manufacturing, petrochemical industry, automobile manufacturing, and so on.
Naming and standards
"USt" may be a naming prefix specific to certain application scenarios or manufacturers, but "St" usually refers to "steel", which is carbon steel.
The number "37" indicates that the average carbon content in steel is about 0.37% (but the actual chemical composition of carbon is usually 0.17% to 0.20%, and the number "37" here does not directly indicate the carbon content).
"2" indicates the quality grade or category of the steel plate.
