Q345E steel Description

Q345E low alloy high strength steel has good low temperature impact performance. Where "Q" means yield strength, 345 means that this steel has a yield strength of 345MPa, and E means grade (passed -40 degree impact test). Q345E low alloy high strength steel is widely used in bridges, vehicles, ships, pipelines, boilers, large vessels, power stations, workshops, low temperature pressure vessels, etc.

The equivalent material of Q345E carbon and low-alloy high-strength steel is European standard S355NL, and Q345E is impacted at -40 degrees. By controlling the content of S and P, and increasing the amount of AI and Cu, the performance of corrosion resistance and low temperature resistance is improved. Q345E is better than Q345B. The production process requirements are higher and the overall performance is better. When the steel plate needs to have thickness direction properties, a symbol representing the thickness direction (Z direction) performance level is added to the steel grade, for example: Q345EZ15.
