S690QL Carbon and Low-alloy Steel Description

S690QL carbon steel belongs to the European standard low-alloy high-strength structural steel plate. S690QL steel plate has comprehensive high-quality properties such as high strength, toughness, fatigue resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance and easy welding and processing. It is often used in machinery manufacturing, such as: heavy industry machinery , construction machinery, coal mine machinery, bridge structure equipment, cranes, mining vehicles, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, various cranes, coal mine hydraulic supports and other mechanical equipment and other structural parts.

S690QL high-strength structural steel plate implements the European standard EN10025-6 standard. The yield strength of S690QL steel plate after quenching and tempering is greater than 690MPa. "S" means that the grade is the European standard, the number 690 means the yield strength of the steel plate is 690Mpa, Q means the delivery condition of the steel plate, and the suffix L means that the impact temperature of the steel plate is -50°. The corresponding national standard is Q690E high-strength structural steel. The yield strength of S690QL σ0.2 ≥690-≥650 MPa, the tensile strength of S690QL high-strength steel plate σb 770-940MPa, the elongation of S690QL steel plate ≥14 δ5%.

S690QL carbon and low-alloy structural steel is a European standard high strength plate with high comprehensive mechanical properties in the quenched + tempered state. The carbon content of S690QL low-alloy structural steel plate is usually less than 0.25%. Compared with ordinary carbon structural steel, it has a higher yield point or yield strength and yield ratio, better cold and hot formability, good weldability, lower cold and brittle tendency, notch and aging sensitivity, and better resistance to atmospheric and seawater corrosion.
