EN 10149-2 S355MC automotive steel has a chemical composition that includes the following elements: Carbon 0.12%, Silicon 0.50%, Manganese 1.60%, Phosphorous 0.025%, Sulphur 0.025%, Chromium 0.30%, Molybdenum 0.08%, Niobium 0.09%, Nitrogen 0.015%, Aluminium 0.015% and Copper 0.20%. S355MC steel has excellent mechanical properties. It has a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 470-630MPa. This steel also has a minimum elongation of 19% and a minimum reduction of area of 30%.
S355MC automotive structural steel is widely used in a variety of industries. It is commonly used in automotive components, construction components, and engineering components. This steel is also used in the manufacture of industrial machinery and equipment, as well as in the production of consumer goods such as appliances.
