Welcome to BBN Steel Materials Factory
GB/T 35CrMo steel is a type of alloy steel which is composed of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulphur, chromium and molybdenum. It is commonly used for manufacturing various kinds of high-strength, high-toughness and wear-resistant components, such as gears, shafts and couplings, due to its outstanding mechanical properties.
GB/T 35CrMo alloy structural steel can be processed using various methods, such as hot forging, hot rolling, annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering. The specific processing technology for this steel depends on the intended application and the required mechanical properties.
Hot Forging: 35CrMo steel can be hot forged at temperatures between 950 and 1050 °C. The initial forging temperature should not exceed 1150 °C as this may cause cracking. After forging, the steel should be cooled slowly to avoid the formation of any internal stresses.
Hot Rolling: 35CrMo steel can be hot rolled at temperatures between 900 and 1100 °C. The steel should be heated slowly to the desired temperature and then rolled into the desired shape, followed by air cooling.
Annealing: Annealing of 35CrMo steel can be done at temperatures between 640 and 680 °C. The steel should be heated slowly to the desired temperature, kept at that temperature for a sufficient time, and then cooled slowly in the furnace.
Normalizing: Normalizing of 35CrMo steel can be done at temperatures between 870 and 980 °C. The steel should be heated slowly to the desired temperature, kept at that temperature for a sufficient time, and then cooled in air.
Quenching: Quenching of 35CrMo steel can be done in oil or water at temperatures between 850 and 880 °C. The steel should be heated slowly to the desired temperature, kept at that temperature for a sufficient time, and then quenched in the desired medium.
Tempering: Tempering of 35CrMo steel can be done at temperatures between 510 and 620 °C. The steel should be heated slowly to the desired temperature, kept at that temperature for a sufficient time, and then cooled in air.
35CrMo alloy steel is widely used in various industrial applications due to its excellent mechanical properties. Some of the common applications of 35CrMo steel are listed below:
1. Gears and Shafts: 35CrMo steel is commonly used for manufacturing gears, shafts, and other machine components where high strength and wear resistance are required.
2. Bolts and Nuts: 35CrMo steel is used for manufacturing high-strength bolts and nuts, which are commonly used in construction and engineering industries.
3. Springs: 35CrMo steel is used for manufacturing high-strength and durable springs, which are commonly used in automotive and machinery industries.
4. Drill Collars: 35CrMo steel is used for manufacturing drill collars, which are used in oil and gas well drilling.
5. Cutting Tools: 35CrMo steel can be used for manufacturing cutting tools such as saw blades, drills, and milling cutters.
