S355J2 carbon steel is a low alloy high-strength structural steel, S355J2 steel is belong EN10025-2:2004 Standard, Origin of Europe. S355J2 steel equivalent to Q355D of the Chinese standard. S355J2 ordinary carbon low alloy steel has good impact toughness and welding performance. The carbon content (melting analysis) in S355J2 ordinary carbon is generally not more than 0.20%, the total content of alloy elements is generally not more than 2.5%, and the yield strength is not less than 295MPa. The impact energy at - 20 ℃ is required to reach more than 27J, which belongs to low alloy high strength steel with good plasticity and impact toughness. Low alloy steel with good impact toughness and weldability. Therefore, the S355J2 plain carbon low alloy steel plate is widely used in various industries.
S355J2 carbon structural steel plate has additional Z-direction performance, which is represented by S355J2Z15, S355J2Z25 and S355J2Z35. The Z-direction performance of steel plate is the thickness direction performance of steel plate, which is called layered tear resistant steel. The Z-direction performance includes ultrasonic flaw detection. The harmful element sulfur content of steel plate is required. The elongation after fracture of layered tear resistant steel requires that the average value of Z15 sample is not less than 15%, Z25 is not less than 25%, and Z35 is not less than 35%.
Application of S355J2 hot rolled structural steel: it is widely used in buildings, bridges, ships, power plant equipment, lifting and transportation machinery, machinery manufacturing, pressure vessels and other engineering and welding structural members that bear high loads.
